Calvari steps again

More beautiful homes on the Calvari steps.

What a view!

Stunning house near the top.
What a view! Puig Maria in the background (mountain about 330m high if I remember rightly!)

I loved it here. It was so peaceful, even though there were tourists everywhere. It was beautiful.

Calvari Steps Pollenca Old Town

One day we went to Pollenca old town and climbed the Calvari steps. There are 365 steps to a church at the top. Apparently, depending on what you read, there are 365 steps, one for every day of the year or one for every sin!!
On Good Friday there is a torchlight procession from the church at the top all down the steps carrying an efigy of Jesus. Although we were in Mallorca for Easter we didn't go to the service as the weather was awful.
I was fascinated by the beautiful houses that were all the way up the steps. Truly stunning buildings. Mind you, can you imagine being the postman?? Climbing all that way in the rain/snow etc?? It was a fab day out though.

some odd pictures

The tree is electric!! Weird or what!
Trotters Bar
Trotters British Bar, Puerto Pollenca. Always makes me laugh to see it.

Look at the size of that pepper! It was huge!

more of the villa

More villa garden

The front porch, really cool and shaded

We used to eat lunch here sometimes. Emily wanted to play ping pong here.

Emily by the lemon tree. She was fascinated to see them growing!

Villa garden

Phallic plant! Bit droopy mind you!

Sorry if these are boring you but I was fascinated by the plants and trees.

Cacti or Aloe Vera? I don't know, if you do let me know.

Emily by the little pond with frogspawn in it.

Pool fun

It's my blonde bombshell!

Bathing beauty?

He's having fun!

Oh no, I've sunk my battleship!

Sibling rivalry - nah! They get on really well most of the time!
They were mad to get in that water. It was so cold! Even though the pool was heated, because we had 5 solid days of rain in the middle of the holiday, the water really cooled down too much for me. I went in up to my middle slowly and couldn't feel my legs!! Gave up after that.
